Charles ("Charlie")

I'm Charlie, though some people insist on calling me Charles when they're trying to be professional. My story with Rumi Mind Health began when I was discovered as a tiny kitten living near an abandoned building that was scheduled for demolition. Malnourished and sporting an injured tail, I was rescued by Dr. Nikayin and his daughter and quickly became part of the Rumi family.

Since then, I've been hard at work training for my future career as a therapy cat. While I still have some important growing up to do, I've already developed many of the skills required for the role, including accepting chin scratches, providing emotional support through strategic purring, and appearing exactly where affection is needed most.

As the fluffiest member of the Rumi team, I bring a combination of comfort, curiosity, and occasional mischief to the office. Because I'm still young, I enjoy a bit of playtime between appointments, but beneath my playful side is the gentle temperament that makes a great therapy animal. In fact, I've already become so popular with many of our patients and staff that we're beginning to think a formal schedule may be necessary.

When I'm not training, napping, or supervising clinical operations from the nearest sunny window, I'm preparing for the day I complete my certification and officially join the therapeutic team. Until then, I'm proud to serve as Rumi Mind Health's Therapy Cat in Training and future four-legged mental health professional.

Charlie is currently completing his training and is not yet a therapy animal. His contributions presently consist primarily of purring, cuddling, and morale enhancement. 🐾
