The Rumi Mind MSO Model
At Rumi Mind Health, we’ve built our Management Services Organization (MSO) from the ground up to serve as the foundation for world-class clinical care in mental health. The MSO is more than just back-office support; it is the infrastructure that makes it possible for clinicians to focus on what matters most: caring for patients.
Our MSO provides the operational backbone (i.e. compliance, billing, technology, scheduling, HR, and more) so that every provider can step into practice without being burdened by non-clinical responsibilities. Whether your focus is direct patient care, psychotherapy, psychiatry, , collaborative care, or even cutting-edge clinical research, the MSO is designed to remove obstacles and empower your work.
We intentionally designed the MSO to be service-agnostic and future-proof. There are no limits on the type of services we can support. Our goal is to bring together the most talented clinicians, researchers, and allied professionals, people from all walks of clinical practice, under one umbrella, and to give them the tools, systems, and freedom to focus entirely on delivering transformative mental health care.
Most MSOs in health care operate on a cost-plus model: they cover their operating costs, then add a margin on top. While this keeps the organization afloat, it also means overhead gets passed along to clinicians, often by taking a slice out of every service provided. In mental health, where clinicians already earn far less than they should, this model can feel extractive and unsustainable.
At Rumi Mind Health, we are working toward something different. Our vision. what we call Vision +Zero, is to move toward a model where day-to-day clinical practice is supported at cost + zero. That means the core infrastructure clinicians need to see patients (scheduling, billing, compliance, technology, HR, and more) runs without tacking on extra fees.
Our belief is that sustainability shouldn’t come from nickel-and-diming mental health workers. Instead, we focus on long-term efficiencies, smart growth, and strategic initiatives that can generate revenue without burdening everyday clinical work.
